The Queen and Prince Charles wish Kate Middleton ‘a very 38th Happy Birthday’
The Royal Family put on a show of unity today as they wished Kate ‘a very happy birthday’ in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan’s bombshell announcement.
The Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla took the chance to boost the Duchess of Cambridge’s profile as a royal female figurehead as she turned 38.
Their birthday messages celebrated how she has become a central member of the Royal Family and a perfect Queen-in-waiting since marrying Prince William in 2011.
Their joyful posts featuring emojis formed part of a fightback against the family being undercut by Prince Harry and Meghan who quit as senior royals last night.
The @RoyalFamily and @ClarenceHouse accounts both posted birthday messages, while Kensington Palace released a new photograph of Kate to mark the occasion.
