Shahid Khaqan Abbasi transfer of vehicle case: AC reserves judgment
High Court (IHC) has reserved judgment on the petition seeking permission to transfer the sold out vehicle of former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the name of other person.
NAB has opposed the transferring of vehicle in the name of other party.
NAB prosecutor told the court NAB is investigating properties and assets of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. NAB is also probing into dubious bank transactions by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. During the investigation the assets owned by the accused cannot be transferred to some one else.
The defense council Barrister Saadia Abbasi told the court there is no case of financial corruption against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. The known Seths (tycoons) and bureaucrats are included in NAB reference. Court should allow to transfer the vehicle owned by Shahid Khaqan Abbsi. He is not going outside the country.
She contended that the incumbent government had nominated Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for award for paying tax more than any other person in the country.
