PDM will continue to make plans and the govt will complete its term, claims Ch Sarwar
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the PDM will continue to make plans and the government will complete its constitutional term. Opposition’s plans inside and outside parliament are a conspiracy to undermine democracy, which will be thwarted by the government and its allies. We are pursuing the policy of strengthening the country and its institutions.
He was addressing the launching ceremony of Muhammad Asif Rafiqi’s book “Sihala Yatra” at Governor’s House Lahore and talking to the media. Political Secretary to Governor, Mian Kashif Iqbal, Vice-Chairman of Punjab overseas commission-Muhammad Wasim Ramey, Head of Anti-Narcotics Punjab, Haji Muhammad Ramzan Pervez and others were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the event and talking to the media, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that ever since PTI came to power, the opposition parties have been making new plans? but 220 million Pakistanis are witnessing that the politics of the opposition parties is only for their vested interests, adding that they want to create instability in the country which is not in the interest of the nation. Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the PTI has come to power with the votes of the people and the opposition should play its democratic role in the parliament instead of resorting to long marches and protests. If the opposition thinks that it will succeed in toppling the government through divisive politics, then they are living in a fool’s paradise.
Replying to a question, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that Imran Khan has emerged as a stronger Prime Minister than earlier and programs such as “No one should go to bed hungry” are being launched to alleviate the problems of poverty and inflation.
In the coming days, there will be a significant drop in inflation, he added. Regarding the promotion of tourism, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the Federal government is working in all provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to promote tourism in Pakistan. The New York Times has listed Lahore in the top 52 cities of the world which is great success of the incumbent government.
Governor Punjab strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on Police officers in Rawalpindi and said that the terrorists are unable to tolerate peace in Pakistan due to which they are carrying out acts of terrorism but the morale of our security agencies and the nation is high. We will not allow terrorists to succeed, he said.
Speaking to the media on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Governor Punjab said that women who are fighting for the independence of Kashmir cannot be forgotten today. In Kashmir, 22,000 women have been widowed so far in their struggle for independence. We pay tributes to the Kashmiri women for their unwavering courage and bravery.
The rights given by Islam to women 1400 years ago are still unimaginable in the west. Empowering women is the mission of the PTI government and no country can develop without bringing women into the political mainstream.
