Judicial remand of Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Suleman Rafiq extended till Sep 17 in Paragon scandal
Accountability Court (AC) Lahore has extended judicial remand of Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Khawaja Suleman Rafiq till September 17 in Paragon scandal case.
The court has also summoned lawyers for arguments on the petitions seeking quashment of indictment and acquittal of Khawaja brothers.
Judge Jawad ul Hassan of A C took up for hearing Paragon reference against Khawaja Brothers Friday.
Khawaja brothers were presented in the court from jail on expiry of judicial remand.
Former Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf filed his power of attorney in the court from the side of Khawaja Saad Rafiq.
Special prosecutor NAB Ali Sultan Tippu filed written reply on the petition in connection with acquittal of Khawaja brothers.
Khawaja brothers have already filed petitions against their indictment taking the plea Paragon reference is baseless. On previous hearing they have been indicted illegally.
Khawaja brothers have prayed the court to nullify their indictment and they be acquitted.
The court has summoned the lawyers for arguments on the petitions filed by Khawaja brothers.
