Disqualification case: Fawad Chaudhry put on notice

Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has been served notice by Islamabad High Court (IHC) in disqualification case.
According to media reports, Chief Justice IHC Athar Minallah took up for hearing disqualification case against Fawad Chaudhry.
The counsel took the plea during the hearing of the case that Fawad Chaudhry concealed his assets from Election Commission and he did not show his Jhelum land in the declaration of assets.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked why the court should interfere in political matters. Satisfy us. Political matters should be resolved at political forums. My court has always discouraged interference in political case.
The counsel took the stance Fawad Chaudhry no more remained “ Sadiq and Amin”.
Chief Justice remarked “ who will be Sadiq and Amin”.
The lawyer said Jahangir Tareen case is there wherein disqualification took place .
Chief Justice remarked “ we disqualified Khawaja Asif and Supreme Court restored him. The example is before us.
The court while issuing notice in disqualification case against Fawad Chaudhry summoned reply.
The court also issued notices to election commission and law ministry besides seeking reply from them.
