We will respect SC guidance on our petition: FM

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said criticizing the institutions is habit of the opposition to take political mileage.
“ PDM is doing politics to serve their interests. They only want to save their money they have plundered and looted”, he said this in a statement issued here Tuesday.
He went on to say that interests of PDM are on one side and their politics is on the other side.
“We provided opportunity to opposition in accordance with the Charter of Democracy. Opposition should tell that their interests don’t conform to the charter of democracy.
The enemy narrative is being supported by targeting the institutions by the opposition. Some elements of PDM are giving childish statements and are criticizing the institutions, he underlined.
Whatever guidance is provided by Supreme Court on our petition we will respect it, he remarked. There were two options before us for approaching the court for constitutional interpretation or for making amendment in the constitution. We have not two thirds majority. PML-N and PPP kept on demanding open voting and harping the tone of democracy. Now PML-N and PPP seem to be backtracking from their pledges. They still want to protect corrupt practices.
He held opposition is confused still.
He underscored that the army is engaged with the terrorists on western borders and anti peace elements in Baluchistan. On eastern border they have to face the violations of ceasefire every day on eastern borders.
