UN Secretary General departs on conclusion of his 4-day visit

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has departed Pakistan on conclusion of his 4-day visit. .
Munir Akram, Pakistan permanent envoy to UN saw him off and presented him album of his pictures pertaining to his four day visit to Pakistan .

Antonio Guterres attended several functions during his visit to Pakistan, addressed an international conference on Afghan refugees and held meetings with senior political and military leadership.
UN chief also held meetings with President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan. He also held a separate meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Antonio Gutres lauded Pakistan s efforts in fight against terrorism.
The UN chief also paid special visits to Lahore and Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. During his visit to Lahore, UN Secretary General visited Shahi Qila and Badshahi Mosque. The UN chief also traveled in a local rickshaw.
He also administered polio drops to children at Kindergarten. Antonio Guterres. UN Secretary General also addressed students of a private university. On his return, an album containing pictures of his four day visit to Pakistan was presented to him.

On his departure from Pakistan UN Secretary General said in his twitter message “
I concluded my visit to Pakistan after enjoying the rich history and vibrant culture of Lahore – from the Lahore Fort, a @UNESCO World Heritage Site, to the majestic Badshahi mosque.
Giving message to Pakistani youths he said Pakistan 60 percent population is in the age bracket of below 30 years. Keep yourself busy. Be broadminded and keep on striving for construction of better world.
