Pakistan has successfully tested a ground-to-ground Shaheen-1A ballistic missile. According to the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Shaheen One A can hit a target up to 900 km. According to ISPR, the purpose of the missile test was to observe the various designs and technical parameters of the weapon system.
The missile test was witnessed by DG Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Nadeem Zaki Manj, while Nasscom Chairman Dr Raza Samar, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command were also present on the occasion.
The President and Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the Chiefs of the Armed Forces have congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful missile test.
