Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said Nawaz Sharif will not return to Pakistan and his passport will not be renewed.
“Nawaz Sharif will not return home. He only talks in the programs. This is high court decision that Nawaz Sharif should return to Pakistan. If he wants to return to Pakistan then travelling permission can be issued to him within 72 hours”, he said this while talking to media men here Tuesday.
Nawaz Sharif passport will expire at 12 pm Tuesday night. After expiry period, Nawaz Sharif passport has lost its legal status. Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are placed in ECL since August 20, 2018 under the directives of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Passport cannot be issued to whosoever is placed in ECL. Nawaz Sharif misused court’s relief, he added.
He went on to say Maryam Nawaz has talked of her surgery and she has also said in addition to it that she will not make request for permission to go abroad. This is good thing. Neither any one has filed application nor have we sought it. It depends on the applicant if he does not want to give application.
He remarked the conscience of those who are purchased is dead. Whosoever sells himself once he sells himself again and again. Those who sell them start selling them from councillorship. Living people never sell them.
He observed Asif Zardari has done Phd in purchasing votes. But this time he will have to face disappointment. Those who are on sale will be ashamed this time. Asif Zardari will not be able to do sale and purchase of votes.
He added the entire politics will be played on March 03 polls. There will be no surprise in Senate polls. The topic of surprise will remain under discussion for 15 days. After March 03 the market of rumors will slide. PTI will win the Senate polls on March 04.
He underlined that Maulana Fazlur Rehman and others who used to cast curse on assemblies are seeking votes from assemblies. This is respect of this assembly. This is respect of this assembly, election system and democracy. This is major defeat for those people who wanted to devastate the system.
He pointed out that Supreme Court (SC) decision is ahead in connection with Senate polls. We will accept whatever decision comes.
He underscored that PDM has changed so many decisions therefore, they should decide to hold long march after the holy month of Ramadan. If PDM does not take law into their hands then no barricades will be erected. It is my pledge that we will extend facilities to PDM. Abiding by law is our duty.
As a joke I had given statement about shelling on government employees strike and I regret for it, he stated.
We have cut the passport fee to half in respect of passport with 10 years term, he said adding advertisement has been given in the news papers for appointment of chairman NADRA.
He claimed that NADRA will issue one lac identity cards in a day.
