KP leaked video saga: PM Khan asks provincial law minister to resign
Prime Minister Imran Khan while taking notice of the leaked video of KP Assembly members has asked KP Law Minister Sultan Muhammad to resign immediately.
According to details, a video of the KP Law minister along with other provincial assembly members was leaked on social media, in which the assembly members could be seen selling electoral vote for the Senate.
Taking action on the viral video, the Prime Minister on Wednesday contacted KP Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and directed him to conduct a transparent inquiry of the matter and held the responsible accountable.
The video was recorded before the 2018 Senate election. The federal cabinet decided to take the video to the Supreme Court as a proof of horse-trading.
In the video, members’ provincial assembly can be seen counting currency notes and gathering bags full of money.
This bargaining of votes was allegedly committed between February 20 and March 2 in 2018. The PTI had punished 20 of its members and cancelled their party membership after investigations.
