Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said India can conduct surgical strike on some pretext but we are fully alive to our defence and if our arch foe India carries out any irresponsible act then it will be paid in the same coin.
“India is persistently violating ceasefire. Attacking UN Observers vehicle on LoC is a matter of grave concern. Information are there India can carry out some surgical strike on some pretext. We are not indifferent to our defence. We will give a befitting response to India”, he said this while talking to media men here Monday.
Presence of UN observers is aimed at maintaining law and order situation and keeping abreast its headquarters about violations of ceasefire agreements. If those engaged in maintaining law and order are targetted in firing , it will be blatant violation of diplomatic norms and set international laws which should be probed into, he added.
He pointed out Afghan peace process is moving ahead on fast track basis and Pakistan is playing the role of a facilitator. If our attention is diverted to Eastern borders then it is feared peace endeavors in Afghanistan may receive set back. Its responsibility will surely rest with India.
The entire region will benefit if peace is established in Afghanistan, he said adding the entire world is appreciating Pakistan efforts for reconciliation in Afghanistan.
Discharging our obligations we have informed international community that we have such credible information that India can conduct some false flag operation on some pretext. We call on international community to play its responsible role forthwith.
The August 5, 2019 unilateral steps by India have annoyed Kashmir leader and people of Kashmir. India has formulated discriminatory laws for the minorities, he remarked.
He went on to say we are paving the way for economic collaboration with the world through economic diplomacy. On the other hand India is hell bent upon disrupting peace through its vicious tactics.
We have issued directives to our embassies to share this new information with think tanks so that the world could come to know well that India is suppressing fundamental rights in Occupied Kashmir and India to what extent and eliminating civil liberties.
Pakistanis in large number are settled in UAE since several decades, he said adding UAE leadership wants Pakistanis should continue to play their role in the development of UAE.
After my meeting with UAE leadership I am sanguine that the difficulties being faced by Pakistanis in UAE will soon be overcome, he observed,
About PDM he said PDM is divided clearly on the issue of resignations. 31 is not far off. If opposition is serious in tendering resignation then why are they delaying it. It can file their resignations with the speaker forthwith. There is ambiguity among PDM ranks over the matter of resignations, he remarked.
