Lahore High Court (LHC) has remarked “ government be ashamed of issuing e-challans without law.
The court took up for hearing petition filed against E-ticketing challans here Fridnay.
The court sought court’s orders from Safe City Authority in connection with E-Challans.
Justice Shams Mehmood Mirza remarked “ government should be ashamed. When no law is in place then how E-challan are being issued . The money is being received from the people without law. Under what law E-challan are being issued .
The law officer admitted in the court no law is there in connection with E-challan. We are collecting money against E-challan under the government orders.
The court maintained how can recoveries be made when assembly has not passed law. Show the court’s orders under which the recoveries are being made on the next hearing.
