According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 16% more weak-sighted Pakistanis use eyeglasses use for near vision than for distance vision.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces who wear vision correction glasses was asked, “Do you wear eyeglasses for distance vision or near vision?” In response, 42% said they wear them for distance vision, and 58% said they wear them for near vision (reading, etc.).
