Altaf Hussain arrested in London
Media reports have emerged that Scotland Yard has arrested Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founding leader Altaf Hussain in an early morning raid.
A private media outlet has reported that Hussain was arrested Tuesday morning and taken to a local police station. 15 officers took part in the raid at his north London residence.
Reportedly, MQM leadership has confirmed the news.
It’s believed that Altaf Hussain has been arrested in relation to the 2016 seditious speech in which he had provoked his party workers to “take law into their own hands”. Also, Hussain had issues violent threats to former DG Rangers Major General Bilal Akbar.
