3 -big of PDM discuss senate chairman, deputy chairman slots polls
The three bigwigs of PDM including Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Nawz Sharif have made telephonic contacts with each other before polls for the slot of Senate chairman and deputy chairman.
They have warned if any attempt is made to change opposition majority into minority during Senate polls then they will go to public.
They said the facts about those who are asking our senators to cast vote in favor of Sadiq Sanjarani from unknown number will be made public.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman made telephonic contact with Nawaz Sharif and both the leaders exchanged views on polls for Senate chairman and deputy chairman seats.
Nawaz Sharif said PML-N all senators will cast vote in favor of PDM candidates. Opposition enjoys majority in senate therefore, its candidates will win.
The two leaders have exchanged views on prevailing political situation in the country. Long march issue also came under discussion.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman informed Nawaz Sharif about the calls being received by PDM senators from unknown telephone numbers pressurizing them to vote for ruling alliance candidates.
Later Maulana Fazlur Rehman telephoned Asif Ali Zardari and exchanged views about polls for the Senate chairman and deputy chairman offices.
Sources said Asif Zardari was of view that opposition has clear numerical superiority over the ruling party in Senate. I am hopeful for the success of Yousuf Raza Gillani and Abdul Ghafoor Haidri, Zardari said.
Zardari said our home work is complete. All the members have assured us of their support.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman warned if government resorted to horse trading and wooed our members then all the facts will be made public. Our senators are being pressurized to support Sadiq Sanjarani in the polls.
The two leaders said that number game is in their favor and the government can win only through horse trading.
