Drug associations observe strike against drug Act
The Chemists and Druggists of Hazara division have observed a complete shutter-down strike against new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Drug Act on the call of their provincial body. The drug stores owners categorically rejected the new act and termed the raids on medical stores as illegal while most of the medical stores in Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram and other parts of the region remained closed. The patients from all across Hazara division faced difficulties in getting medicines owing to closure of medical stores. President of Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association Abbottabad Chapter Mujahid Shah and General Secretary Sardar Roman told media men that “we would continue strike till the acceptance of our demands”.
