Senator Ayesha Raza Haroon said on calling attention notice Friday the government has not taken any step to purchase corona vaccine. On the other hand other countries have placed orders timely to purchase the vaccine. We are in complete darkness with reference to corona vaccine matter.
She said government what vaccine is being purchased and how much vaccine will be imported till what time. During November we were told about importing vaccine but vaccine has not reached. Even no mention has been made from which company the vaccine is being purchased.
Foreign minister had told that vaccine would reach Pakistan from China through a ship but it is too less vaccine and what the 98 percent of the country will do.
State minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Ahmad Khan told the house that the government would not keep any one in dark about vaccine. Full information will be provided to the house about vaccine.
We have come out of first phase of covid-19 and we will soon start vaccination. Vaccine will be provided first of all to those who are countering the virus on front line. 16 lac health workers will be provided vaccine in the country and steps are underway in this regard, he told the house.;
