One person has died and three others have been injured after PTI and ANP workers opened fire in Swabi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday.
The injured persons have been taken to a nearby hospital. The firing took place in PK-47, a constituency in Swabi district.
One person is dead and two others are injured, confirmed the local DPO, Syed Khalid Hamdani. The person who was killed is a PTI worker, he said.
A contingent of police has arrived at the site and the situation is under control now, reported SAMAA TV reporter Muhammad Amjad Khan.
This is the first incident of violence on Election Day. At least five different incidents took place in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in the month leading up to the election.
